
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is a striker. She also is captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. From 2018 to 2020, she was co-captained by the American women's national soccer team alongside Megan Rapinoe. [8][9The 9 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she was able to graduate early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut with the club and assisted the team win their league championship. Morgan was just 22 when she was selected to play for the team of the nation in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 and they finished in second place. She scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She was second in the United States with 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012. This made her the most youthful and sixth-highest prolific athlete in the nation to achieve 20 goals in one year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Morgan was also named a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan helped the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. Morgan was named to the Dream Team in both tournaments. In 2019, Morgan won the Silver Boot.
